May 28 to Aug. 30
Inventory of University Assets

As mandated by federal grant compliance requirements and in light of generally accepted accounting principles, the University must complete a physical inventory of all assets at least once every two years. As a result, a physical inventory of the institution’s assets must occur during fiscal year 2014. An Office of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) staff member will call offices at least three business days prior to arrival to confirm the visit. Badged student employees will assist regular staff in scanning bar-coded property tags previously placed on all inventoried assets. These individuals will require access to all rooms, offices, and laboratories on campus to view and scan tagged property. Before proceeding with any work in a building, however, these individuals will check in with the building administrator’s office. Assistance may be requested for access to certain spaces. It is expected this phase of the physical inventory will be substantially completed by Aug. 30, 2013. If any additional access is required beyond this date, arrangements will be made with selected departments. Call EHS at extension 5602 or email Andrew Wolf at with questions or concerns. Thank you in advance for your assistance and cooperation with this project.
