Tuesday, Aug. 14

Noon to 1 p.m., the Center for Planning and Information Technology (CPIT) sponsors a brown bag lunch on purchasing hardware and software for faculties or departments as part of its monthly series. There will be a brief presentation on purchases and an open forum for requests, questions, suggestions, and general discussion. CPIT invites faculty to attend and help shape the future of instructional technology at CUA. For more information, contact Daniel Yum at yum@cua.edu.

Removal of “Celebrating 125 Years” Wordmark
Now that the University’s 125th anniversary celebration has come to a close, it’s time to remove the “Celebrating 125 Years” wordmark from email signatures. To do so, members of the CUA community should visit http://publications.cua.edu/email/index.cfm and follow the instructions on changing email signatures based on the version of Outlook on their computers.

New Work-Study Supervisor Training
All new work-study supervisors are required to attend one training session in order to hire work-study students. The Office of Career Services will host new supervisor trainings on Monday, Aug. 6, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday, Aug. 14, at 10 a.m.  Both sessions will be held in the Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center, Room 327. For more information or to sign up for a new supervisor training session, call the career services office at 202-319-5623.

Cardinal Basketball Academy Camp
The 20th Annual Cardinal Basketball Academy camp for boys and girls ages 7 through 15 will occur in August. For more information, contact Steve Howes, head men's basketball coach, at howes@cua.edu, or 202-319-6046.
