Washington International Piano Festival
The Benjamin T. Rome School of Music co-sponsors the Washington International Piano Festival from Sunday, July 29, to Saturday, Aug. 4. A week of recitals by master artists and young, promising pianists from around the country and abroad will take place at Ward Recital Hall, and at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts' Millenium Stage. The cost is $20 for adults, and $10 for seniors and students. Admission is free to CUA students with a valid student ID. On-Site Auto Detailing

The Office of Procurement Services has arranged for Detailing Dynamics to offer its car washing and detailing services in the parking lot behind Caldwell Hall on Wednesday, July 18, from 8 a.m. to noon. Members of the CUA community are invited to have their cars cleaned while they’re at work. The cost is $15 for a basic exterior wash; $35 for exterior and interior; other services are additional. Cash, VISA, and MasterCard will be accepted. No reservation is necessary. Remember to secure or remove valuables from the vehicle before leaving it to be cleaned. This service is provided to the campus as a convenience only; CUA does not have any contract or agreement in place and use of the service is entirely at the risk to the individual. Campus Road Repair Work
The Office of Facilities Maintenance and Operations will perform repairs on several roads, parking lots, and alley ways on campus. The work will begin Tuesday, July 10, and take seven to 10 days to complete. The following areas will be affected:

  • The service road in front of O'Boyle and Marist halls is open to one lane of traffic. No parking will be available along the road.
  • Nugent Road (from Harewood Road to the end of Curley Court) is closed to traffic. No parking is available.
  • Salve Regina/Curley Annex Road will be closed to traffic. No parking or access to garages.
  • The North Caldwell entry to McMahon Lot will be closed to traffic and parking.

Summer 2012 Rape Aggression Defense Classes
The Office of Public Safety is sponsoring Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) classes beginning Monday, June 25, and ending Thursday, Aug. 2. Classes will be held at the Raymond A. DuFour Athletic Center from 6 to 7 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays. To participate or for more information, email dickerson@cua.edu.

Field Hockey Camp
Revolution Field Hockey Camp at Catholic University will run from Wednesday, July 25, to Saturday, July 28. Head Coach Gia Cillizza will direct the camp for ages 10 to 18. Participants from all experience levels are encouraged to attend. There are overnight and extended-day options. Discounts are available for children of CUA faculty and staff. Cardinal Basketball Academy Camp
