Summer 2012 Rape Aggression Defense Classes
The Office of Public Safety is sponsoring Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) classes beginning Monday, June 25, and ending Thursday, Aug. 2. Classes will be held at the Raymond A. DuFour Athletic Center from 6 to 7 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays.  To participate or for more information, email dickerson@cua.edu.

Early Bird Registration for Vatican II Conference
Early Bird registration is available through Saturday, June 30, for Reform and Renewal: Vatican II after Fifty Years, a conference sponsored by the School of Theology and Religious Studies. To register, visit the website.

Surplus Furniture Sale
The Office of Environmental Health and Safety announces the sale of surplus furniture. This includes barstools, sofas, loveseats, lounge chairs, coffee tables, beds, desks, desk chairs, dressers, and wardrobes. The University provides no guarantees or warranties on service or condition of this furniture. The University is asking $50 for each piece of furniture. These will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information and to schedule an appointment, call Andrew Wolf, risk and asset inventory administrator, at 202-319-5602. Payment and pick-up must be made at the time of sale at its current location.

Leahy Users Lab Closure
The Leahy users lab, Room 117, will be closed Monday, June 25, to Monday, July 2. During this time the carpet will be replaced and painting will occur. For information, please submit a request on the website.

Requests for Work-Study Eligibility
Offices and departments that would like to have student positions considered for work-study eligibility should make requests through the Office of Career Services new position portal before Friday, June 29. Questions should be directed to the career services office at 202-319-5623.

Field Hockey Camp
Revolution Field Hockey Camp at Catholic University will run from Wednesday, July 25, to Saturday, July 28. Head Coach Gia Cillizza will direct the camp for ages 10 to 18. Participants from all experience levels are encouraged to attend. There are overnight and extended-day options. Discounts are available for children of CUA faculty and staff. Cardinal Basketball Academy Camp
The 20th annual Cardinal Basketball Academy camp for boys and girls ages 7 through 15 will occur in July, and August. For more information, contact Steve Howes, head men's basketball coach, at howes@cua.edu, or call 202-319-6046.

Summer Baseball Camp
CUA baseball Head Coach Ross Natoli will conduct the 25th Annual Advanced Development Baseball Camp from Monday, June 25, through Friday, June 29, for players ages 8 through 18. Space is still available, and those who would like to join the camp after it has begun will have the opportunity to do so at a pro-rated cost.
