Campus Ministry

Ash Wednesday Masses
Ashes will be distributed at two University Masses on Ash Wednesday, March 9, at 12:15 p.m. and 5:10 p.m. in Caldwell Chapel.

Stations of the Cross
Stations of the Cross will be held each Monday during Lent at 5:45 p.m. in Caldwell Chapel following the 5:10 p.m. Mass.

Men’s Discernment
Rev. Matthew Luft, O.S.B., a doctoral student in theology and religious studies will be the guest speaker at the next Men’s Discernment meeting on Monday, March 14.  Mass begins at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and discussion in Caldwell Hall, Monsignor Stephen P. Happel Room. Students can sign up at http://ministry.cua.edu.

Lenten Adoration
Lenten Eucharistic adoration will begin on March 16. Adoration will be held daily throughout Lent from 1 to 5 p.m. in Caldwell Chapel. To sign up for a regular hour each week, e-mail David Pennington, associate campus minister, at penningd@cua.edu.

Water Delivered to Your Door
Campus Ministry will deliver cases of water to students, faculty, and staff on campus for $10 a case to help raise money for the World Youth Day Pilgrimage. To receive water, contact 76chite@cardinalmail.cua.edu.

Noon to 2 p.m., the Office of Summer Sessions hosts the annual registration fair. Students can enter to win a $500 Apple gift card, Starbucks gift cards, T-shirts, and other prizes. The Benjamin T. Rome School of Music presents "Man of La Mancha," directed by Alan Paul, with musical direction by Denise Puricelli, assistant professor of music. Free Fitness Lessons
Golf lessons will be offered free of charge to the CUA community by PGA pro Matt Keyson on Mondays and Tuesdays at 5 p.m. in the Raymond A. DuFour Athletic Center, beginning Monday, Feb. 28. Space is limited. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to participate. For more information, contact Keyson at 202-577-7495.

A Pilates class is offered in the Eugene I. Kane Student Health and Fitness Center on Thursdays at 5:15 p.m. No experience is necessary. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome.

The fitness center has added an additional Zumba class on Fridays at 5:10 p.m. in the DuFour dance studio. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to participate. No experience is necessary.

Cardinal Leadership Celebration
Formerly known as the Student Leadership Recognition Celebration, the Cardinal Leadership Celebration will honor members of the CUA community whose service and committed leadership deserve special recognition.

District Engine Idling Regulation
The Office of Environmental Health and Safety would like to remind all drivers of University vehicles of the District of Columbia's engine idling regulation, which prohibits idling of gas or diesel engines for longer than three minutes while the vehicle is parked or standing. Infractions may result in fines of at least $1,000. For more information, visit http://ehs.cua.edu/.
