Men’s Discernment

Spread the Word to End the Word
On Wednesday, March 2, CUA will join the global campaign "Spread the Word to End the Word." This campaign raises awareness of the dehumanizing and hurtful effects of the word "retarded." CUA Best Buddies will be in the Pryzbyla Center lobby to encourage people to pledge their support for the cause and to answer questions. There will also be a Mass and dinner catered by Buca Di Beppo starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Pryzbyla Center, Room 320A. For more information, e-mail cuabestbuddies@gmail.com.

Off-Campus Housing Information Sessions
On Tuesday, March 1, and Wendesday, March 2, the Dean of Students and Office of Housing Services will host information sessions for upperclassmen considering moving off campus. Tuesday's meeting will take place in Millennium North and Wednesday's will take place in Opus Hall. Both are at 7 p.m. Representatives from the Department of Public Safety, Metropolitan Police Department and the Office of the Tenant Advocate will be on hand to present the benefits to living off campus, expectations of community members in Brookland, rights of renters, and more. Free Fitness Lessons
Golf lessons will be offered free of charge to the CUA community by PGA pro Matt Keyson on Mondays and Tuesdays at 5 p.m. in the DuFour Center, beginning Monday, Feb. 28. Space is limited. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to participate. For more information, contact Keyson at 202-577-7495.

A Pilates class is offered in the Eugene I. Kane Student Health and Fitness Center on Thursdays at 5:15 p.m. No experience is necessary. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome.

The fitness center has added an additional Zumba class on Fridays at 5:10 p.m. in the DuFour dance studio. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to participate. No experience is necessary.

Cardinal Leadership Celebration
Formerly known as the Student Leadership Recognition Celebration, the Cardinal Leadership Celebration will honor members of the CUA community whose service and committed leadership deserve special recognition.

District Engine Idling Regulation
The Office of Environmental Health and Safety would like to remind all drivers of University vehicles of the District of Columbia's engine idling regulation, which prohibits idling of gas or diesel engines for longer than three minutes while the vehicle is parked or standing.
