Lenten Adoration
Sign-up sheets for an hour of Lenten Season adoration in Caldwell Chapel are available in the Campus Ministry office. 


Stations of the Cross
Stations of the Cross will be held Mondays at 6 p.m. in Caldwell Chapel during Lent (except for March 8). For more information, call 202-319-5575.

An Opportunity to Give Alms
The Office of Campus Activities is collecting items to be donated to Calvary Women’s Services, which provides shelter for homeless women in D.C. The following items can be dropped off at the campus activities office, Pryzbyla Center, Room 107, by Tuesday, March 30:

Cleaning supplies (window cleaner, duster, toilet scrub, all surface wipes, etc.); air mattresses; reams of white or multi-colored copy paper; umbrellas; pill organizers; boxes of powdered laundry detergent; boxes of cereal; cans of coffee; towels; liquid hand soap; colored twin sheet sets; liquid dish soap; pillows; feminine hygiene products; manila folders; toilet paper; theater and movie tickets; gift certificates for manicures, facials or massages; acrylic paints, brushes and small canvasses.

Spring Break Mass Schedule
There will be no Campus Ministry Masses on the weekend of March 7. Masses will resume on Sunday, March 14, in St. Vincent's Chapel with the 9 p.m. Mass only. For more information, call 202-319-5575.

Lenten Retreat
“Found in Him,” a traditional Lenten retreat, will be held Friday, March 19, to Sunday, March 21, for all CUA students. The weekend features Lenten devotions, opportunities for liturgical prayer, silent meditation and talks on spirituality. Students can sign up at http://ministry.cua.edu. The cost is $40 (scholarships are available).

8:30 p.m., the University Honors Council hosts the second of three book discussion groups on C. S. Lewis’ The Space Trilogy. Student Employee of the Year Nominations

Student Leadership Recognition Celebration 2010
The Student Leadership Recognition Celebration identifies members of the CUA community whose service and committed leadership deserve special recognition. The Office of Campus Activities is requesting nominations of students and staff who embody these characteristics. Extended Deadline for Fall Study Abroad
CUAbroad has extended the application deadline for fall 2010 semester education abroad programs to Friday, March 19. A list of fall semester programs can be found at http://cuabroad.cua.edu/programs/semester.cfm.

Global Fest 2010 – Participants Needed
Global Fest will be held Monday, March 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event showcases the global diversity of the CUA campus through cultural displays, performances and a sampling of food prepared by members of the university community. It is coordinated by a team of volunteers who need assistance in the following areas:

  • Cultural Tables: Organizations and programs are invited to create display tables in the Pryzbyla Center, Great Room. To reserve a table, groups can contact Gudrun Kendon at kendon@cua.edu.
  • Performers: Individuals or groups with a talent to share for five to 10 minutes during the event are encouraged to contact Ivonne Ambrzkiewicz at ambrozkiewicz@cua.edu (if faculty or staff) or Mallika Karunan at 70karunan@cardinalmail.cua.edu (if a student).
  • Cooks: Event organizers need members of the campus community to share the culinary delicacies of their heritages. Interested cooks should contact Helene Robertson at robertsh@cua.edu.

Education Abroad Information Session
CUAbroad conducts Education Abroad 101 information sessions every Monday at 12:30 p.m. and every Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in McMahon Hall, Room 111. Oxford Honors information sessions are held every Monday at noon and Friday at 2 p.m. For more information, call 202-319-6010.

Study Abroad Scholarship
CUAbroad is offering a $1,000 scholarship opportunity to students applying for non-traditional locations as well as for CUA’s two flagship programs — the CUA in Rome semester and the Oxford Honors Program. TIAA-CREF Counseling Sessions — Spring 2010
A representative from TIAA-CREF will be on campus to provide one-on-one counseling sessions for employees on:
