Payroll Converts to Cardinal Station
Beginning Jan. 1, 2011, the Office of Payroll will stop printing direct deposit pay advices. Employee Self-Service is now available through Cardinal Station. Employees with Cardinal Station access can view and print the following online documents: copies of paychecks and pay advices, W-2s, federal W-4 tax set ups, and direct deposit information.

Faculty can access Employee Self-Service (and all previous functionality) by using the newer user names with all alpha (no numeric) characters. If faculty or staff do not know their Cardinal Station access information, or CUA network logon access information, they can visit the CPIT Information Center in Leahy Hall, Room 200 (with CUA ID), or call 202-319-4357. Those who call the Information Center will need to answer security questions to receive their user name and password.

For more information and training options, visit the Employee Self-Service website or call the payroll office at 202-319-5512.

Update Home Addresses
The offices of human resources and payroll ask all employees to submit updated home addresses, if they have changed, so they can receive university mailings (including W-2s) in a timely manner. Changes can be made by filling out the top half of the Employee Data Form and sending it to the human resources office in Leahy Hall, Room 170. The employee’s signature is required for an address change.

Is CUA Open or Closed?
The Office of Public Affairs wishes to remind faculty, staff, and students how to find out about the closing or delayed opening of Catholic University because of inclement weather. The quickest ways to find out are to check the CUA website at www.cua.edu or to call the university’s main number — 202-319-5000. The information is available through those two sources by 6 a.m. on days when weather conditions are extremely poor. In addition, CUA contacts all local TV outlets and major radio stations.
