The Office of the Dean of Graduate Studies holds orientation for new teaching assistants and teaching fellows from noon to 5 p.m. on Monday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Registration will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Monday. The orientation is required for all new teaching assistants and teaching fellows. Summer Transition Hours at the Pryzbyla Center
The Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center will be open as follows during the last weeks of summer operations:

Work-Study Supervisor Training
All work-study supervisors are required to attend training in order to hire work-study students.

New supervisor training will be held in the Pryzbyla Center, Room 327, on Thursday, Aug. 19, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Returning supervisor training is offered online.

Fall Leadership Conference
The Office of Campus Activities is asking faculty, staff and student leaders to submit session proposals for the Fall Leadership Conference, which will be held on Saturday, Sept. 25,  from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Pryzbyla Center, Great Room.

The conference is designed to bring together students involved in the campus community and provide them opportunities to gain the skills, knowledge and connections necessary to assist in making positive contributions to the university.

The conference includes a keynote speaker as well as a variety of breakout sessions facilitated by staff, faculty and student leaders.

New Staff
New employees recently joined the staff of Catholic University. The Office of Human Resources invites the university community to see who was hired and read other helpful information for new CUA employees.

Free Stress Management Series for Faculty and Staff
The Carebridge Corporation and Office of Human Resources offer "The Healthy Work Day," a free seminar on stress management for all faculty and staff. The seminar will be held at 1 p.m. in the Pryzbyla Center, Room 351, on Monday, Aug. 16.   The 2011-2012 Tuition Exchange Application is now posted.
  
• Tuition Assistance
  CUA faculty and staff who wish to receive the tuition assistance benefit for themselves or dependents for the fall 2010 semester must submit their Application for Tuition Assistance to the Office of Human Resources by Friday, Sept. 10.
  
  As a reminder, employees must submit an application for tuition assistance by the deadline for every semester that they wish to receive the benefit.
