New Medicare Reporting Requirements for United Healthcare Participants
All CUA faculty and staff who are enrolled in United Healthcare medical insurance plans will be receiving a letter at home (on Colonial HealthCare CHC letterhead) requesting social security numbers for dependents who are covered under the United Healthcare plans. The federal government has increased its requirements for Medicare reporting and is mandating this information. This is a legitimate request — please complete the information requested within the 30-day deadline. The requirement applies to all covered employees and their dependents — no matter what age. For more information, contact the Office of Human Resources at 202-319-5050.
