The Center for Planning and Information Technology announces that automatic installation of Internet Explorer 7 on faculty and staff Windows XP desktop computers on the campus network began the week of May 21. Internet Explorer 7 is the next version of Microsoft's Web browser. It has a new Windows Vista-like user interface with tabbed browsing, supports RSS feeds and has enhanced security features. Internet Explorer is the recommended browser for use with Peoplesoft and other administrative applications for Windows users on the CUA campus network. CPIT, in conjunction with other university offices, has tested Internet Explorer 7 on Windows XP with these applications to ensure that functions work as expected. Please visit http://computing.cua.edu for more information about Internet Explorer 7.
