Pryzbyla Stairs to Be Closed
The Office of University Center, Student Programs and Events (UCSPE) announces that from Monday, Aug. 6, through Friday, Aug. 10, the primary stairs in the Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center between the second and third floors will be inaccessible. A mural will be installed over the blue wall adjacent to the stairs. Scaffolding will be erected Monday on the stairs and will be in place all week. Access to and from the third floor during this time will be available via the stairwell closest to the information desk and via the elevator. For more information, contact UCSPE at 202-319-5291.

Updates to ALADIN
CUA Libraries announces that as of Aug. 1, the libraries rolled out a new interface for the ALADIN catalog and MyALADIN (library account information). The changes and added features will assist library patrons with their searching needs. For more information or to submit a comment or question about the new interface, go to http://libraries.cua.edu/form/contact.cfm.

Work-Study Supervisor Training
The Office of Career Services will be holding mandatory work-study training for new and returning supervisors. New supervisors can attend training on Aug. 7 at 10 a.m. or Aug. 13 at 2 p.m.  Returning supervisor training will be held Aug. 6 at 2 p.m., Aug. 8 at 10 a.m., and Aug. 14 at 10 a.m. Locations to be announced. For more information or to schedule training, please call career services at 202-319-5623.

Campus Employment Fair
The Office of Career Services announces that the Campus Employment Fair will be held Wednesday, Aug. 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center, Great Room. The fair will give campus employers the chance to meet with students seeking both work-study and non-work-study campus positions. Students can pick up their work-study authorization forms. Representatives from the Office of Human Resources and the Office of Payroll will be available to help students complete all pertinent paperwork for employment.

For more information or to register to participate, please contact the career services office at 202-319-5623 or e-mail Amanda Jones, student employment coordinator, at jonesa@cua.edu. The deadline to register is Friday, Aug. 17. Offices or departments that cannot send representatives to the fair can still participate by registering and sending career services their department/office information and/or flyers about available work opportunities. These materials will be available for students at the fair. 

Starbucks Price Changes
Dining Services announces that effective July 31, Starbucks has raised their prices on prepared drinks by 3 percent, about 9 cents each. For more information, e-mail cua-diningservices@cua.edu.
