From May 18 through June 11, the Department of Environmental Health and Safety will conduct its annual testing of fire alarm and sprinkler equipment throughout campus.
The testing schedule is as follows:
¿ May 18-19: Testing of fire alarm bells and strobes will begin at 6 a.m., to be completed in administrative and academic buildings by 7:30 a.m., after which time smoke detectors and other devices will be tested. The testing after 7:30 a.m. should not disrupt building occupants or activities.
Testing will be conducted in the Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center, Student Health and Fitness Center, Edward M. Crough Center for Architectural Studies, Leahy Hall, Raymond A. DuFour (athletic) Center, Hartke Theatre, Hannan Hall, Shahan Hall, Life Cycle Institute and the Grounds Complex.
|¿ May 20-21: Testing will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Millennium North and South, Flather Hall, Regan Hall, Ryan Hall and Spellman Hall.
¿ May 25-28: Completion of the buildings listed for May 18-19. The Columbus School of Law and its garage will be tested on May 26 and 27.
¿ June 9: Testing will begin at 9 p.m. St. Vincent's Chapel, Pangborn Hall, McCort-Ward Hall, Gowan Hall, Nursing-Biology, St. Bonaventure Hall, Maloney Hall.
¿ June 10: Testing will begin at 9 p.m. Marist Annex, Marist Hall, O'Boyle Hall, McMahon Hall, Ward Hall, Salve Regina Hall.

The Office of Career Services is now accepting listings for new work-study positions for the fall 2004 semester. Work-study position request forms can be obtained at http://careers.cua.edu in the "Hiring Students and Alums" and "College WorkStudy" categories. New positions must be submitted by Monday, June 11, to allow sufficient time to post the openings for the upcoming academic year. The career services office also encourages administrators to attend the fifth annual Campus Employment Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 1. Financial Policy Guides
CUA's finance division has issued two new campus user guides that supplement the financial policies of the university. They are "No. 1: Using the Policy and Procedures Manual" and "No. 2: Sale, Disposal and Transfer of Equipment."
