Mullen Library Renovations
Director of Libraries Adele R. Chwalek announces the following update on the John K. Mullen of Denver Memorial Library:

Renovation of the library is progressing. In the next few weeks and throughout the summer a number of activities will take place, all of which can affect library users.

Painting in the stacks begins on Monday, May 12. Level 3 will be painted first, followed by levels 3A, 2A, 2, 1A and 1. Eight to 10 days will be required to complete each floor, during which time it will be off limits to patrons and staff. Level 3 will be inaccessible from May 12 until close to the end of the month.

Access Services will move to Room 208 on Monday, May 19, to prepare for first-floor renovation. A temporary circulation desk will be in place that morning on the second floor to accomodate borrowing and reserve activities. The move will briefly interrupt the Consortium Loan Service and interlibrary loan.

Beginning May 19, Mullen Library's front entrance will be closed through summer's end. All traffic into and out of the building will be re-routed through the south rear entrance.

For more information, visit /renovation.html. If you have a particular need or concern, contact Adele Chwalek at 202-319-5043 or
